LIEBE. Ökonomien des Handelns 3
LIEBE. ÖKONOMIEN DES HANDELNS 3
Film, performative concert, 2016
LIEBE is the final part of the music theatre trilogy Economies of Action in which Kötter/Seidl deal with immaterial systems that determine social action: KREDIT, RECHT, LIEBE. First finance, then law and ultimately “LOVE”. With the third part of their music theatre project “Ökonomien des Handelns” (Economies of Action) experimental filmmaker Daniel Kötter and composer Hannes Seidl complete their investigation into the parameters of social action. As in the previous parts, “KREDIT” and “RECHT”, which were presented at last year’s MaerzMusik, here the two artists once again experiment with a range of forms of documentary narration in both film and music. The focus of their interest lies not on love in the romantic sense of a relationship between a couple, but as a force of social cohesion.
